Fla. Commit Leads Travelers To Quarters

Florida fans would have been excited if they had a chance to watch Corey Brewer today for the Tennessee Travelers at the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida. Brewer was a dominant offensive player against Team Florida, an AAU program that features super guard Jason Rich. Brewer scored 30 points to lead his team to victory and advance to the quarterfinal round here at the Wide World of Sports complex inside Disney World.
“Our team played hard and we all worked together,” Brewer said after the game. “We want to win it all. That’s what I am trying to help my team do.”

Brewer certainly maintained his responsibility in reaching the quarterfinals today. He bounced all over the court and scored a bunch of baskets inside to wear down the interior of the Team Florida defense. “I have been working hard on my ball handling this summer,” Brewer said. “I am also working on pulling up and taking the jumper. I want to be a complete player by the time I get to college.”
Brewer said the Florida coaching staff is encouraging him to get stronger. “They want me to work on the weights, become better physically,” he said. “So once this summer is over I will start doing that.”
Corey also stated that the Gators are looking at him to play the swingman position. “They think I can play the two (shooting guard) or the three (small forward),” he said. “I want to do whatever I can to help the team win so it’s not important where I play as long as I can help the team win.”
Brewer did just that for the Travelers today at the Super Showcase.
