Five-star Williams sets visit dates

One of the more intense recruiting battles in the class of 2008 is entering a final stage of official visits for Elliot Williams. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound combo guard from Memphis (Tenn.) St. George's School has set up official visits for his four final schools.
It all begins with a September 7 visit to Duke, followed by a September 21 visit to Virginia. Then on the first weekend of October, Williams will visit Tennessee and then Memphis on the following weekend.

"I'll take all the visits before I make a decision based on my feel for the team and how I feel I'll fit in," Williams told Rivals.com. "I want to hang around the players and watch a practice to see how the coach interacts with the players."
Williams, who is the No. 16 ranked prospect in the Rivals150 and the No. 3 shooting guard in his class, is coming off an impressive summer where he improved as both a shooting guard and a point guard.
"I'm getting better with my three-point shooting, so I'm more comfortable at the two," he said. "But I want to play some one in college. I know that at the highest level, in the NBA, it will be better for me to be a tall point guard than a medium sized shooting guard."
Elliot Williams scouting report:
An electric athlete, Williams is a big time slashing scorer who can also wreak havoc on the defensive end with his length, quickness and superb anticipation. A potential big time point guard, Williams sees the floor and can break his man down on the dribble. He loves to take the ball right and then spin back to his dominant left hand against the second defender. His outside shot is in the process of improving.
