Five-star picks Oregon

THE RIVALS150: 2015 | 2016

Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks got very good news when five-star guard Tyler Dorsey decided to end his recruitment on Monday afternoon.
A 6-foot-4 combo guard at Pasadena (Calif.) Maranatha, Dorsey gave Altman and his staff a commitment on Monday.
The top target on the Ducks board, the commitment from Dorsey couldn't have come at a better time. Late last week, the Ducks lost out on former signee JaQuan Lyle who chose Ohio State rather than making his way back to Oregon after the school denied his admission last summer.
By landing Dorsey, Oregon has more than made up for this loss and landed themselves a player who can help in a variety of ways.
First and foremost, Dorsey is a big-time scorer. A strong guard who can play as either a point or shooting guard, Dorsey is a good athlete, streak jump shooter and most of all an off-the-dribble scorer. He creates and finishes through contact and is as explosive offensively as anybody in the class of 2015.
Over the past month or so, Dorsey has been on a special run scoring the ball. The No. 19 player in the class of 2015 has scored 40 or more points in 10 of his last 12 games.
The third player to select Oregon from the class of 2015, Dorsey joins four-star point guard Kendall Small and three-star big man Trevor Manuel in the Ducks' recruiting class.
