Five-star Mitchell makes commitment

After recently trimming his list of schools to three, five-star small forward Tony Mitchell took an official visit to one of his finalists over the weekend and made a commitment.
The Dallas Pinkston High star found what he was looking for on a visit to Missouri and decided to commit to the Tigers.

"As soon as I stepped on campus, it was a family atmosphere," Mitchell said. "The team really embraced me. This is more than just about basketball, it's more about my future."
Mitchell said he already felt comfortable with the coaching staff at Missouri, but that his future teammates helped seal the deal.
"I had a great relationship with the coaching staff already," he said. "Then when I got there, the players embraced me and told me all about the program."
Mitchell chose Missouri over Georgetown and North Texas and says that he feels confident that he will qualify academically for eligibility as a freshman with the Tigers. He joins Dallas Episcopal School four-star point guard Phil Pressey, Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge guard Ricky Kreklow and Charlotte (N.C.) United Faith Christian Academy forward Kadeem Green in Missouri's 2010 recruiting class.
