Five-star Khavon Moore planning a pair of summer visits

EMERSON, Ga. – Five-star forward Khavon Moore, one of the more sought-after wing prospects in the country, has seen his recruitment remain steady as a number of programs nationwide have continued their pursuit.

Hitting the Nike EYBL circuit this past weekend, Moore is a unique prospect. He is gifted as a playmaker where he is best creating for others before himself and brings excellent versatility to the defensive end. It is because of his distinct traits on the court that several schools have made him a wanted man.

Oklahoma, Providence, USC, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Florida have all prioritized him.

Moore spoke further on a few of the schools standing out.

USC: “They play at a great tempo and have a great coaching staff.”

Georgia: “Coach (Mark) Fox and those guys are a great coaching staff, I like their style of play and it is a good school.”

Florida: “They are pretty good, too. They are recruiting me to be a point guard, which I want to be.”

WHAT'S NEXT?

Moore has no plans for an immediate commitment, though he does have a few visits in mind.

“I am planning on taking a couple of visits soon to USC and Ohio State sometime in the summer,” he said.

When it comes to selecting a college, the four-star junior has an idea of what he is looking for.

“The relationship with the coach, style of play and for the coaches to let me play my game,” Moore said.

RIVALS' REACTION

Moore, ranked No. 19 in the 2018 Rivals150, can be leaned upon to guard multiple positions and also make others better. His recruitment has been all over the place, though it does look as if Florida, Georgia and Georgia Tech sit in a good spot for him. Ohio State has remained in contention for him as well since entering the picture a year ago.
