A high flying 6-foot-6 wing with deep range, the Dallas (Texas) Prime Prep product currently ranks No. 8 in the class of 2016.
Earlier this fall, Ferguson visited Oklahoma State for their season opening practice festivities and he and Prime Prep coach Ray Forsett said that has plans to check out Arkansas and Kansas at some point in the near future. First, he'll stop by Louisville on Tuesday night.
"We are out here in Louisville and had a game out here," Ferguson told Rivals.com. "So we felt it was a good time to visit for the game."
Among the other programs involved include Arizona, Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Virginia and Texas and Ferguson says that he has no favorites.
"Right now I'm open to all schools," said Ferguson "I'm not looking to do anything right now because it is only my junior year. I'm going to wait until my senior year."
However, Ferguson would like to take unofficial visits to as many of the programs recruiting him as possible before he decides which he will visit officially.
"I want to try and go see all of my choices," said Ferguson. "I'm looking for the coaching staff and how the team is built around family and the type of play."
When it comes time to make a decision, Ferguson will seek advice from his mother and his coach Forsett. According to Forsett, they are advising Ferguson to find somewhere that the coaches will push him.
"We want him to look at academics and to be a true student athlete," said Forsett. "We also want him to look for a coach that will push him and to help him keep growing as a basketball player and a man. Development is huge too because we want to keep that going."
