WESTFIELD, Ind. -- If it seems like five-star guard Javonte Smart has been around for a while, it's because he has been. No, he's not older than his peers, but the junior has been playing high level summer ball for a while now having played up on the 17U level since he was a freshman.

With LSU, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Florida State, UConn, Baylor and North Carolina all keeping tabs on the 6-foot-4 point guard's progress, he's having a nice last go round in Nike's EYBL.

"It feels real good to get back out here," Smart told Rivals.com. "It's my last AAU season and it's just great to play against the best of the best. My team Houston Hoops we're just trying to make it to Peach Jam and win it all."

So far, Smart has hosted Kentucky and LSU for in home visits and he broke them down.

"The in-home with Kentucky was great," said Smart. "I got to talk to a great coach and Kentucky is a great school. It was awesome having coach Cal in my house. He talked with my mom and my coaches and it was just a good conversation."

Newly installed as the head coach in Baton Rouge, Will Wade has made sure Smart knows that he's a major priority.

"With LSU, Will Wade he came to my house the first day he could," said Smart. "It was him, my coach, my mom and a couple assistants we all had a chance to talk. He just likes winning and I like winning too and he's young so there's a lot to grow into. Coach Wade just told me to keep working hard and everything will pay off."

Smart hasn't yet set a time for cutting his list or getting a decision out of the way, but sometime after the summer is most likely.

"I'll probably cut a list at some point this AAU season," said Smart. "I still need to talk things over with my coach."
