Five standout in Taylors recruitment

There is a wealth of talented power forwards in the 2009 class, and Fort Washington (Md.) National Christian Academy's Dante Taylor is one of these promising forwards. Five schools presently stand out in the pursuit of the 6-foot-8, 230-pound Taylor.
"A lot of schools are recruiting Dante, but Maryland, Connecticut, Georgetown, Pittsburgh and USC are the ones that standout," National Christian Academy coach Trevor Brown told Rivals.com. "Maryland, Connecticut and Pittsburgh have offered, but Dante is much more concerned with his academics and making the honor roll than he is about recruiting."

On the season Taylor is averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds while also extending his game according to Coach Brown.
"Recently Dante has been knocking down threes," said Brown. "He's hit one the last four games. He's facing the basket with more confidence. I've always known he could do it, but with young players they like to stay within their comfort zone. He's beginning to start the break off defensive rebounds and his ball handling is improving. It's important that he gets his confidence to the point where he can come out this summer and show what he can do against the other top big men."
