2009 athletic shooting guard Anthony Marshall was a primary option on the 17-under Las Vegas Prospects this summer. Schools took notice as Marshall, 6-foot-3, 175-pounds from Las Vegas (Nev.) Mojave High School claims five offers.
Arizona State, Colorado State, Gonzaga, UNLV and Washington State have all offered Marshall and Kentucky, USC, Texas, UCLA, Kansas, Kansas State, Washington, Virginia and Notre Dame are showing interest.
Gonzaga and Virginia have visited his high school this fall, and Marshall is looking to take some visits of his own.
"I plan to visit UNLV soon since it is right here, and I'm scheduled to visit Colorado State on the 26th," said Marshall. "There is also a good chance I might go to Gonzaga and Notre Dame sometime this year."
Citing the importance of early playing time, Marshall expects to formulate a formal school list after the high school basketball season. In the meantime, his focus is on improving his game.
"To become a better player, I'm working my defense and point guard skills," he said. "I'm a combo guard, but I want to get better at getting others more involved on the court."
