Fisher: Leaning but Open

Artavis Fisher, a scoring point guard out of Kingston High School (N.Y.) is presently considering seven schools while leaning towards James Madison.
“The only school I have officially visited is James Madison,” said the 5-foot-10, 155-pound Fisher. “It went really well. That is who I am leaning towards, but mostly because that’s the only school I’ve seen. Since I don’t have anyone else to compare it to, I will probably wait and sign late unless something happens or I feel like I should go that direction.”

The other schools that have offered Fisher and he is considering are St. Bonaventure’s, Canisius, Manhattan, Boston University, and Furman.
Fisher has been focused on the ACT, which he took last Saturday, and the SAT, which he will take in the near future. Soon he will set up visits with his other schools, but he wants to leave some of his visits open for schools that might come in late to recruit him.
“I’m trying to be smart about scheduling my visits. Other schools might pop up, and I don’t want to be left without any visits. I will probably take unofficial visits to the nearby schools like Manhattan and Boston U.”
