Freshman prospect Derrick Wilson is turning heads in the New England area. Along with garnering a post season honor, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound point guard from Lakeville (Conn.) Hotchkiss School also picked up his first offer.
Already with interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Georgetown, Texas and Villanova, Wilson now has an offer from Xavier.

A powerful and athletic backcourt player, Wilson averaged 14 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals per game as a freshman and was named to the Tri-State Second Team.
During the travel season Wilson will run with the New York Gauchos 16-under squad.
Wilson's sophomore teammate Jason Morris also received an offer from Xavier to go along with prior offers from Auburn, Clemson, Georgetown, Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Villanova and Virginia.
Morris will spend time with both the New York Gauchos and the Atlantic Celtics this summer according to Hotchkiss School head coach Fred Benjamin.
