Fields Visiting Pitt This Weekend

Levance Fields, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound point guard from Xaverian High School in New York City, did not make a visit to Pittsburgh last weekend. No need to worry if you are Panther faithful, however. The charismatic floor general will be amongst the many at the program’s Fan Fast this weekend.
“They wanted me to wait until this weekend so I could be there for the festivities,” Fields said. “That’s fine with me. It should be fun.”

Fields will watch the team play a 40-minute scrimmage at the Peterson Events Center and interact with the Pittsburgh community. The trip will be his second official visit this fall.
He took his first official visit to St. John’s on Oct. 9. The nation’s No. 93-ranked player said he “could see myself playing there” after the trip. Pittsburgh has the advantage of former Xaverian star Chris Taft on their roster. The two are still close friends.
The class of 2005 product told Rivals.com last week that he is still thinking about signing late as more schools have begun to inquire of him through his high school coach.
