Fells Comments on his Commitment

Courtney Fells, the No. 20 ranked player in the class of 2005 had numerous schools pursuing him after his breakout performances at the Kingwodd Classic. But NC State had been there from the beginning for the 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard and that is why the Shannon (Miss.) High School star ended his recruitment by committing to the Wolfpack.
"I’m excited about going to NC State,” said Fells. “I’m glad it's over with. Getting all the interest after Kingwood was exciting, but it was NC State that was there from the start.

""Now that I’ve made my decision, I just want to concentrate in getting better so I can be ready to play as soon as I get to NC State."
Fells listed five other schools he was considering, but they were always behind NC State.
"I was considering Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Alabama, Ole Miss and Oklahoma, but NC State was always my leader,” he said. “I felt it was time to commit so the other schools could fill their positions."
The smooth shooting Fells will be at the Reebok ABCD Camp in early July. He will also be in Las Vegas with the Magnolia Stars and in Orlando for the AAU Nationals with the Lighthouse All-Stars at the end of July.
