Fast rising wing pops for Maryland

Maryland, Coach Mark Turgeon and his staff aren't wasting any time with the class of 2014.
Already the owners of a pair of commitments from four-star guards in the class of 2014, the Terrapins added another perimeter piece on Sunday.

On the heels of his official visit to College Park, Westtown (Pa.) School wing Jared Nickens committed to Turgeon.
A 6-foot-6 wing who is originally from New Jersey, Nickens is a fluid wing-scorer with a pure shooting stroke. His specialty is shooting off the dribble but his range extends to 22 feet and he's added some needed strength to his frame.
Originally a member of the class of 2013, Nickens has really turned the corner since re-classifying. Along with getting stronger he's improved his finishing at the rim and has become a better decision-maker.
An unranked three-star prospect, Nickens will be entering the rankings somewhere in the range of the top 100 during the next update.
Nickens joins four-star guards Romelo Trimble and Dion Wiley to make up the Terps' 2014 recruiting class.
