Evans chooses OVC program

One of the better mid-major recruits in the southeast Brandon Evans made his college choice today. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound shooting guard from Liberty Tech High School in Jackson, Tenn., is headed to one of the better programs in the OVC.
Brandon has committed to Murray State," said Evans' father Danny Evans. "He made the decision official today. He really thinks it is a good fit for him. Not only is it a good place academically and athletically, but spiritually as well. They have a lot of good programs in place."

Although Evans was recruited by a number of mid-major programs, including VCU, he made his final decision between Lipscomb of the Atlantic Sun Conference and Murray State.
Being the first school to ever recruit Evans also aided the Racers in landing Evans.
"Murray State started recruiting Brandon during his junior season," said Mr. Evans. "They were there the longest, and he developed a very good relationship with the coaches and the team."
