ETSU scores another Memphis scorer

Jarvis Jones, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound combo guard from Memphis (Tenn.) Mitchell High School, is headed to the other side of his home state for college.
Jones announced his decision to play at East Tennessee State on Thursday morning at a press conference at Mitchell High School.

"They play the style that I play and I liked the school, the surroundings there and I liked the players when I went up there. The head coach was showing a lot of interest in me and I really liked that," Jones said.
Jones also considered Louisiana-Monroe, Valparaiso, Tennessee Tech. The three-star guard said he liked what he saw in the style that ETSU runs.
"I see myself fitting in real good because they do a lot of running and pressing and shot the ball a lot and those are the things that I'm really good at," Jones said.
The Bucs have had success in Memphis, most recently the Atlantic Sun presesoan player of the year Courtney Pigram. Jones joins Georgia big man J.C. Ward in ETSU's recruiting class in 2008.
