Eshaunte Jones favoring one

Northside (Fort Wayne, Ind.) High School shooting guard Eshaunte Jones scored the basketball at a high level this summer. Planning to reclassify after his senior season to 2008, Jones is presently favoring his home state school.
"Indiana is my top school and then Cincinnati," Jones told Rivals.com. "I think a lot of Coach Sampson. He is a good guy and a great coach. I think he can really help me improve my game."

With a visit scheduled for Cincinnati on October 1, Jones is also working out visits to Indiana and Missouri.
"I'm visiting Indiana sometime in September, but I'd have to ask my mom what the exact date is," he said. "Missouri is also trying to get me down there for a visit in September."
Although Jones, 6-foot-4, 170-pounds, is on the recruiting schedule of a rising senior, he doesn't plan to enroll in college until 2008.
"I'm 100 percent sure that I'll go to prep school after my senior season," he said. "It isn't just about academics. When I go to college, I want to be ready. I know I'll have to learn and pick up the system, but I want to be prepared. Ann I know I need to get stronger."
Jones is the No. 82 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Eshaunte Jones scouting report:
Jones is a terrific one-on-one scorer who can make contested threes and hit tough shots in the mid-range with his pull back release. In general he has good skills with the ball, but he does need to gain strength and become a more competitive defender and rebounder.
