Ervin Has Speed Skills

Gary Ervin, a 6-0 lead guard, is one of the few players in the 2003 class that can race past you or dazzle you with his dribble and shot. Ervin, who plays for Notre Dame Prep in Massachusetts, showcased these skills right before a blizzard smashed the East Coast.
Ervin scored 21 points, including three three-pointers, to lead Notre Dame past Our Savior New American, 101-89. "He has done a good job," said head coach Bill Barton. "He has so many offensive skills."

Ervin added: "I have had fun here. I have learned a lot. I can't wait to play college basketball."
Gary will play his college ball at Mississippi State. "The SEC is a tough league," he said after the victory over Our Savior.
Yes, but Ervin can handle the stress of playing every other night in one of the country's top conferences. "He can do so many things on the court," Barton said. "He is going to be a very good college basketball player."
