Ervin, Blalock Impressive

FORT MONMOUTH, N.J. -- Notre Dame Prep opened up a 49-22 lead at the half and cruised to a 98-57 victory on Saturday afternoon at Army Prep.
It was the Crusaders' second straight victory over the Golden Knights in as many days. On Friday night, Notre Dame notched a 100-72 victory over Army Prep.

Joel Davila, a 6-2, 195 pound shooting guard/swingman from Miami, Fla., paced the Notre Dame attack with 19 points. Many of his points came late in the second half with the game already decided.
Small forward Josh Bell added 16, and the two headed point guard attack of Carlos Smith and Gary Ervin chipped in 10 points apiece for Notre Dame, which improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Greg Cummings, a 6-6 combo forward from Palm Harbor, Fla., topped Army Prep's effort with 14 points, and 6-3 Pittsburgh native Adam Bauman tallied 13 in the loss.
On Friday night, Ervin scored 21 points and Iowa State bound Will Blalock added 12 in the 28 point victory. Ervin has given a commitment to Mississippi State. Point guard Marshall Jackson and shooting guard Cory Sinning led Army Prep with 18 points each.
