Eric Davis Sparks Playaz Red To Win

ENGLEWOOD, NEW JERSEY -- Eric Davis looked like a man on a mission. Davis, who has a nice frame at 6-9 and 220 pounds, should be one of the more highly recruited forwards in the next six months. (More on Davis in our subscriber section).
Davis put some of those skills on display last night at the Playaz Ball held at the Hoop Zone, a nice facility for any athlete to play in.

Davis scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Playaz Red team held off a tough Juice All Stars squad (minus Chris Taft), 72-62, to advance to the semifinal round being held this afternoon.
Davis seemed to have an extra bounce in his step last night. He ran the floor like a guard and showed off some nice back to the basket moves. He was also helped along by teammate Dwayne Lee, who claimed team honors with 19 points. Junior Sean Banks added 11 points.
The big offensive weapon last night for the Juice team was John Quintana, who seems to get better and better each performance we watch him in person. Quintana had a solid Three Stripes Classic too. He had three three-pointers last night.
Elliah Clarke also had 12 points for the losers.
But make no mistake about it, Eric Davis feels he has something to prove to college coaches in the coming months. We will keep you updated on his progress on this site in the he coming weeks.
