Emerging Texas talent

Texas is known for its 2014 talent, and Xavier Adams is on the verge of placing his name amongst that talented pool of recruits.
At 6-foot-5, 195 pounds, Adams has the qualities of a 2012 five-star prospect out of the Lone Star State.

"Xavier is a 6-foot-5 version of Marcus Smart," said Adams travel team coach Vonzell Thomas. "He is a tough kid who competes and can do everything on the court. There is no significant weakness to his game."
And just like Smart, Adams can play all three perimeter positions.
"I see him as a point guard although because of his height, he plays a lot off the ball," said Thomas. "He has great court vision and savvy."
Although not a national name yet, Adams has an offer from Texas Tech. Arizona State, Baylor and Oklahoma State are showing strong interest.
This spring Adams will hit the travel circuit with the newly founded 2014 squad called The Dream.
