Emerging post prospect to Big 12

Adrian Diaz, one of the top under-the-radar big men in the country, is headed to the Big 12.
Diaz, a 6-foot-11, 220-pounder from Hialeah (Fla.) Miami Lakes High School, emerged as a national name with his play in Orlando, Fla., late in July, but Kansas State coach Frank Martin had been tracking him all summer.

"Adrian loves the coaching staff and the style of play at Kansas State, but the biggest reason he committed is Frank Martin," said Diaz's travel team coach Jerrod Lazarus of the Gulf Coast Basketball Club. "Coach Martin recruited Adrian himself and was at nearly every game he played this summer."
An athletic big man who runs the floor well and is also a threat from behind the 3-point arc, Diaz chose Kansas State over offers from Virginia Tech, USF and FIU along with interest from Alabama, Syracuse, Tennessee and Florida.
