Ellis Kidd Jr. His Decision

Ellis Kidd Jr., a 6-5,180 pound shooting guard/swingman from Seminole State J.C. in Seminole, Okla., has orally committed to Baylor.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com has confirmed this commitment with Seminole Head Coach J.T. Locklear.

"He is good friends with Terrance Thomas, who Baylor also got a commitment from this fall," Locklear said. "He also loved Baylor and loved Coach Bliss. It was his number one choice all along."
If Kidd's name sounds familiar, it's because he actually attended Oklahoma State last year. However, he did not play at the Big12 school and was recently granted a medical red-shirt.
As a result, Kidd, who is originally from Dallas, will have three years to play at the Division I level.
"He's very, very athletic," Locklear said. "He's an excellent outside shooter. He's just a scorer who is very athletic."
Seminole has already played four games and Kidd has been the team's best offensive player, according to Locklear.
Kidd has made a remarkable recovery from an automobile accident earlier this year. In fact, about a month before the start of the season, his lung was punctured in the accident.
"He's back and playing and everything is fine," Locklear said. "But he lost a little weight, although he is starting to get that back now."
As long as Kidd graduates next spring or summer, he will be able to enroll at Baylor next fall with three to play. Locklear said that he currently on time to graduate in the spring.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com hopes to catch Kidd and Seminole in action later this season.
