Elliott Is Open In Recruiting Process

Worcester Academy guard Carl Elliott, 6-2, 195-pounds, has made a pretty good impression thus far with head coach Mo Cassara. A stocky 6-3 combo guard, Elliott is still trying to find his niche on a team loaded with high Division I guards. Worcester has 6-0 Steve Hailey (Boston College) and 6-4 Dwight Brewington (Providence) as key cogs in the backcourt.
At the War on the Shore, Elliott played off the ball quite a bit. He's a strong driver who is still fine tuning his perimeter shot. Eliott signed with George Washington a year ago, but after failing to qualify academically, he enrolled at Worcester and reopened his recruitment.

Elliott, who signed a letter of intent last year with George Washington, has re-opened his recruiting process. According to Cassara, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and several Atlantic Ten schools have been expressing some serious interest. "Carl is wide open," Cassara said.
Last year Elliott played at The Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, NY, under head coach Bill Casson. Elliot, who really hit it off with GW coach Karl Hobbs last year, also considered Hofstra, Manhattan, Marquette, and Hampton. All schools had offered last year.
Carl, a native of Brooklyn, averaged 15 points, eight assists, five steals, and four rebounds last season.
