Elijah Warren Has New List

Elijah Warren might be one of those guys who is hard to classify by position, but the 6-5, 225 pound forward from Pensacola J.C. in Florida plays a versatile and skilled game.
Warren scored 22 points on Saturday evening as the Pirates dropped a 73-70 heartbreaker to Lee J.C. of Texas.

While he does not possess the ball handling ability of a small forward or the size of an interior player, it's probably safest to say that Warren is a hybrid -- a combination forward.
Warren displayed deft passing skills from the high post, and is a very dangerous catch and shoot three point specialist. He buried five three pointers in the loss to Lee, and was not afraid to throw his wide frame into the low post and mix it up underneath.
Simply put, Warren is a resourceful player who generally maximizes his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses each time out.
A native of Hamtramck, Mich., Warren took one early trip to Sam Houston State, according to PJC Head Coach Paul Swanson. Others in the mix include Detroit, Central Michigan and Central Florida.
Although he was a non-qualifier out of high school in his native Michigan, Warren is on schedule to graduate in the spring, Coach Swanson said.
Warren plans to sign in the spring, and JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his recruitment as the winter unfolds, so stay tuned.
