Elias Has Change of Plans

Ben Elias, a physical 6-10, 245 pound center from Tallahassee, Fla., has changed his plans on what prep school he will attend this fall.
Initially, Elias had told Rivalshoops.com that he would be attending Bridgton Academy in Maine. That was back at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions in May.

But via telephone this week, Elias told Rivalshoops that he will be attending Shores Christian Academy in Ocala, Fla.
Elias is a developing big man with an impressive frame. Rivalshoops liked his potential at the Gibbons Tournament, where he played with the Pittsburgh JOTS.
In July, Elias didn't attend many events, although he did make an appearance with the Tallahassee Jazz late in the month at the inaugural U.S. International Hoops Summit in Ocala.
As a senior at Rickards H.S. in Tallahassee last season, Elias said he averaged 17 points, 15 rebounds and 10 blocks per contest. He took an official visit to the University of New Orleans last year, and the Privateers remain heavily involved with Elias this summer.
Central Florida and Florida A&M have also expressed some interest in Elias in recent weeks.
Rivalshoops will keep you posted on Elias and his recruitment as the fall approaches, so stay tuned!
