Eight stand out for Anderson

With his strong play for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, 6-foot-11, 250-pound center Evan Anderson established himself as one of the best prospects in the class of 2010, and some of the top programs in the country are trying to land him.
Although Anderson does not have a formally set school list, he is working with a top eight of Wisconsin, Marquette, Iowa State, Boston College, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA and North Carolina.

"I'm pretty sure all of these schools have offered except for UCLA and North Carolina, but both of those schools have been up here to watch me workout," said Anderson, who is attending Eau Claire (Wisc.) North High School. "Kansas, Wisconsin and Iowa State have also watched me this fall."
Despite the growing recruiting interest in Anderson, he is more concerned with developing his game than thinking about his recruitment.
"Right now I'm focused more on getting better than recruiting," he said. "I'm working hard on my offensive game, especially my footwork. I'm also working hard in the weight room."
The No. 5 ranked prospect in the class of 2010, Anderson has an advanced skill level at this early stage of his career. Most impressive is his feel for playing with his back to the basket.
As a freshman, he averaged 12 points and eight rebounds per game.
