Eggleston wont trim list in near future

Upper Marlboro (Md.) Clinton Christian small forward Melo Eggleston will not be lacking options when it comes time to make a decision on where he'll play college basketball.
As he goes into his junior year, Kansas, Georgia, Baylor, UCLA, Virginia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, USC, Maryland, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Ohio State, Wake Forest and Arizona are involved in his recruitment.

He's already taken visits to Maryland and Syracuse, and plans to visit Ohio State, Wake Forest, Virginia, and Georgia in the upcoming months.
Eggleston's most recent visit to Maryland has the Terps in good position.
"The campus was pretty nice," Eggleston said. "The coaches were nice to me and had a good talk with my dad. The players treated me well. Their success recently helps with me because more of the local players are starting to talk about staying home and playing there. Their program is on the rise."
Growing up, Eggleston always had a special interest in Syracuse.
"I actually like Syracuse a lot," he said. "I've always liked Syracuse since I was young. I like their coaching staff. I talk to Matt Moyer, one of their 2016 commits. Their campus, the Melo Center, it makes me feel at home."
Ohio State hopes to get Eggleston on campus soon for a visit.
"I like Ohio State a lot," he said. "I like what they did with D'Angelo Russell. Their coaches are really cool. I like how (Thad Matta) coaches and how they did last year. They contact me a lot."
Georgia jumped on Eggleston early and made him feel like a priority in the 2017 class.
"Georgia's coaches have been telling me they want to come visit," he said. "They have been recruiting me hard since the beginning. They tell me they want me to go there and coach me and help me get to the next level. Coach Jonas [Hayes] is a nice dude. He talks to me and gives me advice and talks to me about my potential."
Eggleston says he's in no rush to start cutting his list or making a verbal commitment.
"I can't really name favorites yet. It's still early in the process. I don't even want to think about cutting my list down," he said.
