EBO pair makes decision

A perineal power on the AAU circuit, the EBO program had two players choose colleges over the weekend. 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward Kenny Lawson of Vista (Calif.) High School is headed to one of the top mid-major program in the country, and 6-foot-3, 165-pound shooting guard Trevon Willis of Washington Union High School in Fresno, Calif., will play in Conference USA.
Lawson, a rapidly developing big man who displayed an ability to score inside and handle the basketball facing the basket at the recent EA Sports/adidas 702 Fall Showcase, committed to Creighton.

"I believe that Kenny had a group of great options, but he felt that he went with his gut feeling," said EBO head coach Darren Matsubara. "When you have a lot good choices, how can you go wrong? It's now on Kenny to learn from his coaches and have a great college experience. His playing days will get better and better as he gets older and older. I'm looking forward to watch his progress. The sky is the limit."
Trevon Willis, who provided the bulk of long range scoring for EBO, joins point guard Willie Kemp as the future backcourt for Memphis.
"TreVon is a great fit for Memphis," said Matsubara. "He supplies what the team needs, and that's shooting the ball from deep to extend the defense. This makes Memphis' recruiting class very effective in all positions. He's Coach Cal's type of tough player that fits his coaching style."
Willis is the No. 136 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
