Ebi Okay

Ndudi Ebi might have been shaking off the effects of an injured knee, but he was healthy enough to help his Houston Hoops squad easily dust off a good All-Ohio Red squad on Monday night at the Peach Jam.
Ebi, a 6-9 senior forward from Westbury Christian H.S. in Houston, pumped in 26 points and ripped down 17 boards in the Hoops' 92-69 victory over the Buckeye State squad.

Earlier in the day, Ebi sat out the Hoops' morning round Peach Jam game at the Riverview Activities Center with what he described as a "locked up" knee.
"Both me and Tac [Minor] are a little banged up right now," Ebi said shortly after his evening performance.
Not surprisingly, without their superior defensive presence in the middle, the Hoops dropped a lopsided 83-60 decision to BABC on Monday. The Beantowners placed four players in double figures without Ebi there to swat down shot attempts.
Ebi is a player highly regarded in the 2003 class. He has many high majors trying to recruit him. Ebi has said he is seriously interested in Duke, Indiana, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Houston and Louisville.
With a healthy Ebi, the Houston Hoops are considered to be one of the favorites to win the 2002 Peach Jam Tournament, and we will keep you posted on the results of the event as the week unfolds, so stay tuned.
