Ebi In No Rush

Ndudi Ebi, a 6-9, 192 pound power forward from Westbury Christian H.S. in Houston, Tex., said that he's in no hurry to make any changes to his preliminary list of colleges.
Back in late April at the Kingwood Classic, Ebi gave us a preliminary list of Arizona, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina, Texas, Iowa. He took his only official visit to Arizona in the spring, and he has not given any indications about adding or subtracting schools from his list.

"All I can say right now is that I am wide open," Ebi said from the Peach Jam on late Tuesday afternoon. "I am going to narrow my list, take visits in the fall and decide in the fall."
A tremendous defensive presence who is most effective close to the basket on offense (where he scores and/or draws fouls), Ebi is one of the top players in the Class of 2003. Probably the biggest thing against him right now is his rail thin physique and whether or not it can stand up to the rigors of a high Division I schedule.
Of course, July is a month where kids from around the country have microphones shoved in front of their faces on a regular basis and are incessantly asked about their school lists. Ebi seems to deflect such talk by not mentioning or commenting on any schools specifically.
"Right now, I am just being recruited and trying to listen to what everybody has to say," he said. "I am going to knock my list to around five to seven schools in August. I am really not going to thing about things until after the AAU Nationals."
Following the Nike All-American Camp and the Peach Jam, Ebi will wrap up a hectic summer with the Houston Hoops at the AAU Super Showcase and Nationals.
Mike Sullivan will be in Florida to cover both of those events, so we'll keep you posted on Ebi and other top prospects in the Class of 2003. Stay tuned!
