Eagles land Milon

Boston College landed their first recruit in the 2015 class when Oviedo, Florida three-star shooting guard Matt Milon committed to the Eagles.
On Saturday the 6-foot-4, 180-pounder returned home from an official visit to Boston College. Just over 24-hours later, after consulting his parents he pulled the trigger.

"The campus is great," Milon said of Boston College. "The coaches have a vision for the program that I like and they have a trust and confidence in me that I can make an impact right away that I like."
Milon chose Boston College over Davidson, Creighton and Harvard. He was also considering Florida State but when they landed three wings in one week Milon felt the Seminoles may have had an "overload of guards."
Of his finalists, Boston College was the latest school to get involved with Milon. But once Jim Christian took the reigns of the program, he and his staff pursued Milon vigorously.
"Well, he's only been recruiting me since a little while after he took over the job back in the Spring," Milon said. "But in a short time I've learned that he's honest and doesn't sugarcoat anything, and really pushes player development."
Milon averaged slightly more than 18 points a game while leading Oviedo High School to the Florida 7A state championship title last season and was named the Florida Class 7A Player Of The Year.
