Dustin Brown Stays West

Dustin Brown, a 6-7, 220 pound combo forward from the St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Conn., made a commitment to Loyola of Marymount. This is a solid pickup for the West Coast school.
Brown is a player who does some nice things on the court. In our third of six looks at Brown this season, he scored 12 points coming off the bench against Our Savior New American. He helped St. Thomas More close a 18-point deficit to four points late in the fourth quarter. Brown also hit two three-pointers to help with the comeback.

Brown, who had signed with Albany last year before opting to attend prep school, is a full qualifier academically.
A native of San Raphael, Calif., Brown can play both in the low post and facing the basket. He's also a pretty good athlete.
Last summer, Brown played with Steve Cotton's Next Level program out at the adidas Big Time program in Las Vegas.
According to St. Thomas More Head Coach Jere Quinn, Bucknell, San Diego and St. Mary's expressed earlier interest in Brown.
