Dunn explodes for school record

Four-star prospect John Jenkins was the big name in Gallatin (Tenn.) Station Camp's Region semifinal game, but it was 5-foot-9, 155-pound Chase Dunn of Livingston (Tenn.) Academy who stole the show.
Jenkins, a Vanderbilt commitment, wasn't bad by any means, scoring 36 points in the game. But Dunn exploded for a school record 49 points as he ended Jenkins season.

Dunn's travel team coach Jonathan Henderson certainly wasn't surprised by his guard's playoff outburst.
"Chase is a fierce competitor who can score on much bigger guards because of his quick release, intelligence and slight fade on his jumper," said Henderson. "He can score in bunches and makes really difficult shots consistently. He is excellent from three, but thrives on getting in the paint and knocking down midrange. He also sees the floor well and surprises opponents with his leaping ability and quickness."
Dunn, a 2009 prospect averaging 22 points per game going into Tuesday's game, also has the attention of coaches. He was invited last summer to both Auburn and Ole Miss' elite camps. Tennessee Tech has offered him, and Miami-Ohio, who is quite interested, has had him on campus for two unofficial visits.
Wichita State, Western Kentucky, Furman, American, Lehigh, Wright State and Chattanooga are also showing interest.
