It was a long ride to get to this point, but Duke’s persistence paid off Monday when five-star point guard Trevon Duval announced his decision to join the Blue Devils.

Duval, the No. 4 rated player in the nation, according to Rivals.com, was the primary missing piece to Duke’s 2017 class. After failing to land a true point guard in the 2016 class, the Blue Devils responded in a huge way by securing Duval.
