Duke lands 2013 shooting guard

Just in case anybody who follows recruiting might have forgotten how quickly things can change, Matt Jones gave everybody a reminder that things are fluid.
Only 48 hours after making it clear that he was open in his recruitment and putting off his recruitment for a while, Jones has ended his recruitment.

Monday afternoon, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard sent Rivals.com a simple text message when asked about a change in plans.
"Yes, I've committed to Duke."
With that, No. 28 player in the class of 2013 is off the board.
A product of DeSoto (Texas) High, the 6-foot-3 Jones is a four-star shooting guard. He is a very efficient shooter from deep, has improved significantly off the dribble and is becoming a very good defender.
After toying with taking more time, Jones just decided that the time was right. He had the support of his family so he went with his gut rather than waiting things out.
"I've prayed on it for a long time and it felt like it was right," Jones told Rivals.com. "And my parents were excited for me and it felt like it was the best fit for me too."
