DuBois -- How High for NY Rices Big Man

Arturo DuBois, a rugged 6-6, 220 pound junior power forward from Rice H.S. in New York, N.Y., is an impressive physical force who gets things done in the low post.
Despite not having the best foot speed or athleticism, DuBois mixes it up in the paint with great effectiveness. Playing for perennial New York City power Rice has no doubt made people aware of DuBois, who has been playing for the varsity since he was a sophomore in 2001-2002.

DuBois' diverse early list of schools includes Florida, Miami, Syracuse, Providence, Rutgers, Stanford, Iona, St. Peter's, Manhattan and Stony Brook.
Now the question becomes, who will offer the power forward following the spring and summer evaluation periods? That will ultimately dictate what level that DuBois lands at on the Division I spectrum.
DuBois plays with the powerful Riverside Church program, which will be a staple on the Nike circuit this spring and summer. He said he has a 2.5 GPA and will take the SAT for the first time on May 3.
This past season at Rice, DuBois averaged 14 points and eight rebounds.
Rivalshoops.com will see DuBois play many more times between now and the end of the summer, so keep it tuned here for the top coverage of the Class of 2004 and beyond.
