Dual sport star makes his pick

Class of 2013's Monte Morris made his decision earlier in the day. Then, Wednesday night, Drake Harris became the second four-star prospect from the state to pick a college program.
A 6-foot-4 shooting guard -- and heck of a football player -- at Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian picked Tom Izzo's heavily favored Michigan State during an evening press conference.

"I'll be attending Michigan State," Harris said. "I'll be playing both sports.
"I don't want to give up either sport."
Ranked No. 46 in the country, Harris is a solid all-around wing. He can shoot with some range, is a sturdy athlete capable of driving to the hoop and he is a good defender and unselfish teammate.
As Harris mentioned in his decision, he's planning to play football and basketball at Michigan State. On the gridiron, Harris is highly regarded as a dynamic wide receiver with size.
Because he's headed to East Lansing to play both football and basketball, Harris will ultimately sign a football scholarship. On the hoops side, he's the Spartans' first commitment from the class of 2014.
