Drew is done

The second domino fell quickly after Brandon Jennings committed to Arizona on Monday. Four-star point guard Larry Drew of Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft High School is headed east to the ACC.
North Carolina has its first commitment since bringing in the No. 1 recruiting class in 2006.

"Larry is headed to North Carolina," said Taft head coach Derrick Taylor. "I think the situation there works for him. The Carolina system works. The history of the program is excellent. I think it is important to put talent in the right system.
"He also has a chance to play early. If Tywon Lawson leaves, he has a good chance at starting. If Lawson stays for a third year, he gets to back up an All American point guard. So it is a win for him either way."
Playing for the loaded Pump N Run travel team this season, Drew has struggled to find the stride that he finished off last summer's travel season with.
He did average 19 points, nine assists and four rebounds per game last season and is the No. 85 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Larry Drew scouting report:
With a good mind for the game, Drew has a knack for running a team and finding the open man. Perhaps the best thing he does, however, is shoot the ball from behind the arc. His foot speed and overall athleticism is an area of concern as a high-major prospect although.
