Dream Come True For McClellan

It was a dream come true for Jawaan McClellan, an outstanding recruit from the 2004 class. "I always wanted to go to Arizona," Jawaan told us tonight. "And my dream has come true."
McClellan was recently offered by Arizona. He also had high interest in Texas, Florida, Marquette, Tennessee, and Kansas. But when the offer came through from Arizona, McClellan jumped at it.

"It's a great school and great program," Jawaan said. "I always dreamed of playing for a national championship. I have a feeling I will get a chance to play for one while at Arizona."
McClellan averaged 22 points a game last season as a sophomore. RivalsHoops.com watched Jawaan play at the recent National AAU tournament. He has great offensive skills and shoots the ball well from the perimeter. He is a likely top 25 player in the 2004 class. "I am just going to work on all parts of my game this season," he said. "I want to get quicker laterally and stronger too."
