Draper Lifts Trinity Pawling Past Redemption

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Dontaye Draper pumped in 13 of his team high 20 points in the second half to lift Trinity Pawling to a 71-61 victory over Redemption Christian Academy at the Boys Club Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Draper, a 5-11 point guard from Baltimore who inked early with the College of Charleston, helped the Lions break open a tight contest. Leading 30-28 at the half, Draper was instrumental during a run in which Trinity Pawling stretched the lead to 55-44.

It was the second time in as many days that the Lions knocked off Redemption. The teams met on Friday at the Boys Club Tournament, with Trinity Pawling also claiming a double digit win.
Chris Turner, a scrappy 6-4 senior forward, tallied 16 points and 6-8 sophomore forward Reid Whitman added 10. Pittsburgh signee Dante Milligan had a relatively quiet game, pitching in nine points.
William Harris, a 6-4 swingman who last attended Christ the King H.S. in Middle Village, N.Y., paced Redemption with 25 points. He connected on five three pointers, but it wasn't enough to help RCA emerge with the win.
Trinity Pawling finished 3-1 at the Boys Club Holiday Classic.
