Drake adds 2008 commitment

It have been a great year for Drake on the court, and this weekend Coach Keno Davis added a 2008 commitment in 6-foot-7, 215-pound small forward Cory Parker of Aspen (Colo.) High School.

"Parker will fit in well in Coach Keno Davis' system at Drake," said Parker's travel team coach David Matthews of the Colorado Chaos Basketball Club. "He is a very versatile small forward who can score in a variety of ways. He is one of the best shooters in the region who also rebounds, blocks shots and scores inside very well. He still has a ton of growth potential and should have a wonderful college career."

Parker, who chose Drake over Northern Colorado, Denver, Brown and South Dakota State, averaged 21 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.1 steals per game this season.
