Dowell back on the board
Heading into the July evaluation period Duncanville (Texas) High School point guard Reger Dowell has opened up his recruitment after decommitting from Alabama.

"I just decided to open things up," said Dowell. "Things change, and I want to give some other schools the chance to recruit me."
One thing that changed with Alabama is the recent commitment of another point guard Cully Payne, who recently decommitted from DePaul. Dowell, however, down played the impact of the Payne commitment.
"That doesn't bother me," said Dowell about the Payne commitment. "I still like Alabama a lot. I really just want to give some other schools a chance to recruit me. I want to see what my options are. I might have just committed a little too early."
Dowell mentioned Texas A&M, Texas, Baylor, Arizona, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Marquette as schools of interest.
Next week Dowell will play at the Reebok All American Camp, and then will run with his close friend Roger Franklin and Team Texas the rest of July.
