Dove Has Favorite School

Marcus Dove, a skilled 6-8, 190 pound small forward/swingman from Millikan H.S. in Long Beach, Calif., has been offered by many high Division I programs this summer.
But there's one in particular that is at or near the top of his list.

"I've always really wanted to go to Kansas," Dove said. "There's so much history in the program."
Of course, during the Roy Williams era, Kansas has recruited well in the state of California, plucking talents like Paul Pierce and Jacques Vaughn (among others) out of the Golden State.
Kansas has yet to offer a scholarship, but Dove said that Jayhawk Asst. Coach Joe Holladay has spoken to him about setting up both in and official visits this fall.
Dove told Rivalshoops that he's been offered by Boston College, Marquette, Arizona State, Southern California, Washington, Long Beach State, Oregon and Utah.
Aside from Kansas, the only other school he's considering that hasn't offered is Oklahoma State.
"I like Kansas, Boston College, Marquette, USC and Washington," Dove said when asked to name his top schools.
Dove said he has discussed taking official visits with Boston College, Marquette, Arizona State, Southern Cal, Washington, Long Beach and Oregon.
Dove first impressed Rivalshoops back at the ABCD Camp in New Jersey, and then continued his fine play with Rick Isaacs' H-Squad at both the adidas Big Time and Best of the Summer Tournaments.
The most intriguing things about Dove are his handling and passing skills housed inside a 6-8 frame. On top of that, he's already achieved a qualifying SAT score based on a 2.5 GPA.
We will keep you posted on Dove's recruitment as the fall approaches, so stay tuned!
