Dove Focuses On 2 Schools

Marcus Dove, a versatile 6-8, 190 pound small forward from Millikan H.S. in Long Beach, Calif., has narrowed his focus to two colleges this fall.
Dove told Rivalshoops.com that he is down to Oklahoma State and Arizona State. He visited Arizona State from Sept. 27-29 and will visit Oklahoma State this weekend, from Oct. 17-19.

Dove said he expects to make a decision sometime by the end of October on one of the two finalists on his list.
"My trip to Arizona State was cool," Dove reflected. "The team seemed cool, and they treated me like one of their own, so I had a good time overall."
He is looking forward to his Oklahoma State visit this weekend.
"I like the coaching staff and the history of the program and the success that he's had with players in terms of taking them to the next level."
Another Big 12 program, Kansas, was a big part of Dove's early recruiting plans, but the Jayhawks have since backed out of Marcus' recruitment.
"Omar Wilkes went there, and that was their last scholarship," Dove said.
Two weeks ago, Kansas landed both Wilkes and David Padgett. They do have another scholarship available, but the Jayhawks are apparently targeting an inside player with that final scholarship.
