Douglas-Roberts Sets In-Home Visits

After trimming down his list of schools several weeks ago, Chris Douglas-Roberts has scheduled in-home visits with five schools. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound combo guard from Northwestern High School in Detroit, Mich., indicated that the in-home visits would begin during the week of September 9. Douglas-Roberts has already scheduled an official visit to Georgia Tech.
“Coaches from Arizona, Georgia Tech, Miami-FL, Ohio State and Oklahoma are coming to my house for in-home visits,” Douglas-Roberts said. “I know that coaches will start to come on September 9, but I don’t remember the specific dates for each school. Head coaches will be coming to my house all week long, so this will be an important time for me to get a better feel for each coach and school.”

Douglas-Roberts, the No. 51 ranked player in the class of 2005, has already set an official visit to Georgia Tech for the weekend of October 2. There was a time when it looked like that would be his first official visit, but that is no longer the case.
“I told the Arizona coaching staff that I would visit them first,” Douglas-Roberts said. “I have no idea when that visit is going to happen, but I do plan to visit Arizona as soon as I can. I will also visit Georgia Tech during the first weekend of October. I do plan to take more visits, but I don’t know what schools I will visit yet.
“I will probably have a better idea of what schools to visit after my in-home visits are done,” he added. “I don’t really know much about the schools on my list, so sitting down and talking to the coaches from each school will help me with the process. I will try to learn as much as I can about each school and then make a decision after that.”
