Douglas-Roberts Preparing To Trim List

After somewhat of a disappointing summer, Chris Douglas-Roberts is ready to put the past behind him and move forward with his recruitment. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound combo guard from Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Mich., is planning to have his list of schools trimmed to five by the start of next week.
“I am trying to cut my list of schools down to five,” Douglas-Roberts told RivalsHoops.com. “I will have the final list completed by the beginning of next week. I have no idea what schools will make the list, but I have recently talked to coaches from Oklahoma, Miami, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Michigan and Kansas. I would like to talk to coaches from those schools again and coaches from other schools before trimming my list next week.”

Once the No. 51 ranked player in the class of 2005 has officially cut his list of schools to five, he indicated that he plans to start scheduling all five official visits for the fall. Douglas-Roberts believes that taking all five visits will allow him to make the best possible decision when it comes to selecting the school of choice.
“I will take all five official visits,” Douglas-Roberts said. “I plan to visit the schools that make the final cut. I will then base my final decision on my knowledge of each school, the head coach and coaching staff, the players coming back, the new players coming in and the surrounding environment.
“I would like to sign during the early period, but I haven’t made a decision about that yet,” he added. “I really believe that I will be ready to sign by then, so that is definitely the plan right now. It would be great if I could enjoy my senior year of basketball and not have to worry about my recruitment and the future.”
