Douglas-Roberts Attracting Offers

Chris Douglas-Roberts, the No. 41 player in the Rivals100 for the class of 2005, has the versatility to play all three perimeter positions. The versatility of the 6-foot-6, 170-pound shooting guard from Cass Tech High School in Detroit has attracted five high major offers already.
“The schools showing me the most interest are Kansas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Illinois, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Florida, UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State, and Kentucky,” said Douglas-Roberts. “Kansas, Florida, UCLA, Michigan, and Michigan State have all offered me.”

The interest from all these programs is serious. Every school mention by Douglas-Roberts has been to Michigan to watch him play this season.
At this point he is wide open and plans to narrow down his school list at the end of the school year.
“I don’t have a favorite right now,” said Douglas-Roberts. “I'm going to sit down at the end of the school year and decide who I'm going to visit. I haven't taken any unofficial visits but I did attend the Michigan State and Kentucky game. I enjoyed it, and I had a chance to see two schools that I'm interested in."
Douglas-Roberts does have a good idea of what he is looking for in a school.
“Playing time will play a big factor when I make my decision,” he said. “The city and the surroundings around the school are important. I also want to receive a good education.”
Averaging 27 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks per game, Douglas-Roberts is making a push to become a complete player.
"Everybody says that my passing is my biggest asset,” he said. “I'm also a good ball handler and can shoot pretty good. I played point guard my whole life. This year I've made the transition to shooting guard. It's going pretty good."
"I need to get stronger and work on my jumper. When I workout, I work on everything. I want to be an all around player."
