Don McGrath Has Solid Weekend

BRONX, NEW YORK -- Donnie McGrath, a 6-0 combo guard from JFK High School in Somers, NY, played this past weekend for the New York Ravens at the Rumble in the Bronx on the campus of Fordham University.
McGrath, who was injured and did not play many minutes in last weekend'S BABC Invitiational final, had a very good three days in Rose Hill Gym. He seemed very confident in his shot and make good decisions when he was leading the transition.

His team got knocked out in the semifinals, a game McGrath and his mates would like to forget. But put aside that game, and McGrath had a solid weekend.
He gave the Ravens a big boost in the quarterfinals against the Long Island Panthers. McGrath scored 15 points and hit a couple of big shots in the second half. McGrath is a player many top division one schools will be watching closely this summer.
McGrath told us he is currently seriously interested in Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Massachusetts. "I visited Massachusetts when Bruiser Flint was there but not when coach Lappas took over," McGrath said. "So I hope to do that once I get a chance."
McGrath said he has not visited St. John's but wants to do so. "I have also visited Providence, Villanova, and Seton Hall."
McGrath said he has no leader. "I am not in a rush to make a decision," McGrath said. "I would commit early if the right offer came along and I was comfortable."
