Don Bosco Outlasts Nelson, Tech

PATERSON, N.J. -- Don Bosco used its superior inside play to build a huge early lead, and fended off a late charge from Bloomfield Tech in a 60-51 victory at the Freedom Fighters Challenge.
Thanks in large part to 12 first half points from 6-6 senior forward Danny Falcon, the Ironmen built a 27-7 lead midway through the second quarter.

Bloomfield Tech rallied in the second half behind 6-1 junior point guard Courtney Nelson. Nelson scored a game high 27 points, and the Spartans actually pulled to within four points late in the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Don Bosco held serve, with 6-8 Quinnipiac bound forward Karl Anderson scoring and making some nifty passes to Falcon for easy baskets as the Ironmen prevailed.
Anderson and Falcon led Don Bosco with 18 points apiece. Anderson shared game MVP honors with Bloomfield Tech's Nelson.
